COACHING LICENSE PATHWAY

U.S. Soccer is committed to providing all coaches, from beginner to advanced, with education tailored to their experiences and the needs of their players. The Coaching License Pathway consists of a series of courses designed to meet the specific needs of a coach at every step of the way. U.S. Soccer believes education is a journey, and our goal is to provide the necessary tools, guidance, and mentorship a coach requires.

Traditional courses are hosted by a group, league or club, and are scheduled through your State Association. All courses will be taught by an approved US Soccer Coaching Instructor. All coaches must register and pay (if needed) for the courses here.

CHANGING THE CULTURE OF CONCUSSION STARTS WITH YOU!

You can improve the culture of concussion by taking this free online training and using what you learn to inform how you talk about, prevent, and respond to concussions. Your actions can help create a safe environment for young athletes so that they can stay healthy, active, and thrive – both on and off the playing field.

You can print out a certificate once you complete the training and quiz, making it easy to show SSFUYSL or any other youth sports organization that you are ready for the season.

LEARN IMPORTANT STEPS IN CONCUSSION SAFETY.

By the end of the training, you will be prepared to:

Explain what a concussion is and the potential consequences of this injury,
Identify at least three concussion signs and symptoms,
Describe the steps for returning to activity (play and school) after a concussion, and
Create a plan for how to help keep athletes safe from concussion.
We can help athletes stay active and healthy by knowing the facts about concussion and when it is safe for athletes to return to play.

The HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training is available to coaches, parents, sports officials, athletic trainers, and other individuals interested in learning about concussion safety.

The United Soccer Academy philosophy is to inspire players of all ages and ability levels through our extensive, targeted curricula. As Soccer Education Specialists, we pride ourselves in offering individual player development in a structured, enjoyable and safe learning environment.

The following soccer session plans are easy to follow and FREE to download. We encourage you to share them as long as full credit is given to United Soccer Academy. Session Plans may not be reproduced without expressed written consent.

Every session includes a warm up, a fundamental and individual skill, a game related group game, finishing with an unconditional game (scrimmage). We believe that through our Thresholds of Training, our sessions are second to none and have proven results. about something you know. If you don’t know much about a specific topic, invite an expert to write about it. Having a variety of authors in your blog is a great way to keep visitors engaged.
